Genre :- Action/ComedySalman Khan’s favourite time of the year to release his films has been Eid, and so he blocks the auspicious weekend in advance. According to a Bollywood Life report, the superstar has sealed “Dabangg 3″ release date, and it’s Eid 2017.

Filmmaker Arbaaz Khan says it may take one or two years to shape up.

Arbaaz, who produced "Dabangg" (2010) and then directed and produced its sequel, is waiting for his brother, actor Salman Khan -- the lead actor of both films -- to finish all his pending assignments.

"It ('Dabangg 3') is in talks. Salman and I will sit sometime when he is through with his movies and all," Arbaaz told reporters here at a book launch event.

"We will ideate on the script and it may take one or two years," he added.

Further, he revealed that he may hand over the direction to somebody else this time but will definitely produce it.

"As of now only that department is open... maybe somebody else might direct 'Dabangg 3' but only I will produce it and nobody else. That's our own franchise," the filmmaker said.

So here is some good news for the Salman Khan fans! The actor has decided to start shooting for his hit franchise’s third movie towards the beginning of 2018. Yes we are taking about Dabangg so should we ask you to save this date well in advance?

Salman is currently in Manali shooting for Kabir Khan’s Tubelight. The movie which is based on the Indo-China war of 1959 will see Salman
essaying a special character in the movie. Tubelight is all set to release on Eid 2017, next year. Once the actor wraps this Kabir Khan’s movie, he will start filming Yash Raj Film’s Tiger Zinda Hai which is directed by his Sultan director Ali Abbas Zafar. This is the same movie which stars Salman’s ex girlfriend Katrina Kaif besides him and as the name suggest, this movie shall be sequel to his 2012 release Ek Tha Tiger.

So if you guys were wondering what is taking so long for Salman to start shooting for Arbaaz Khan’s directorial Dabangg 3, then this is your answer. The actor has super packed schedule till next year end and it is only after that, he can allot his dates for Arbaaz Khan’s production. If they start shooting early in 2018, there are chances that they will be able to release the movie on Eid that year.

Dabangg 3 has been making news for quite sometime now. Firstly it was because the lead actress’s name has yet not been finalized. There were reports that suggested that ParineetI Chopra is all set to replace Sonakshi Sinha in the third movie from this successful franchise. However the reports were later put to rest after Sonakshi herself confirming that she is still very much part of the movie. Though the makers are yet to make any official announcement, we are pretty sure that in the end it will be Sonakshi only who will bag this movie.

So with Tubelight releasing next Eid and Dabangg 3 in 2018, we are damn excited that we won’t have to miss watching our favourite star on his preferred day of the year. Salman and his connection with Eid goes back a long way and we are sure Salman is in no mood to break this successful connection!
