Why? I thought all DD channels are mandatory. Or are small DD Northeast channels (DD Northeast, Agartala, Imphal, Mizoram, etc.) not mandatory?

Channel No 770. It's a Bengali Infotainment Channel.

Infotainment generally refers to channels like Discovery, History and Nat Geo.

I am speaking on the basis of DD Bangla as DD Agartala and DD Bangla are both Bengali channels. DD Bangla has news (Sangbad), some low-budget serials, interviews with doctors (Hello Daktarbabu) and fashion designers (I think) in Rupkatha, an arts and theatre programme (Camera Cholchhe), then a music reality show (very low budget, of course), and B&W movies on Sundays. I think DD Agartala will have a few of the above as it has an even lower budget than DD Bangla.
