MUMBAI: In a bid to keep its programming refreshed, DD Bharati is all set to telecast three new series in the coming week.
Showcasing scientific inventions and breakthroughs, the channel will present the show ‘A Question of Science’ from 16 September at 5:30 pm every alternate day and with a repeat telecast at 1:30 am and 9:30 am.

The show attempts to explore the idea of scientific breakthrough and inventions, as it delves into cutting-edge research and innovation happening across India’s science labs and technology hubs. ‘Scientific Curiosity and the chase for Answers’ is the central theme of the 26-part series.

The series aims to answer what is the latest happening in Indian science and technology. Each episode will introduce viewers to a team of researchers working to solve a pressing problem of science.

It will present aspects ranging from genetics to particle physics, from wildlife conservation to radio-astronomy, from biomedical engineering to agricultural innovation and more.

DD Bharati will present another series from its archives titled ‘Nature Trails’ starting from 18 September at 6:30 pm, with a repeat telecast at 2:30 am and 10:30 am.

The show will take viewers to various places of nature and will celebrate good moments on the road.

On 20 and 21 September, the channel will present a play ‘Jagannath’ at 10:30 pm with a repeat telecast at 6:30 am and 2:30 pm.

The play is directed by Arun Mukhopadhyay and is adapted from Lu Xun’s Chinese tale ‘The Story of Ah Q’, which narrates the story of a simple peasant, but in the process examines and exposes the subtle ways in which centuries of hierarchical oppression mould the psyche of the oppressed.

Weaving in political messages, Jagannath shows rare artistry and tells the tragic tale of a simple person against the backdrop of rural Bengal.
