Did You Know: Madhu not first choice for Mani Ratnam's 'Roja'

Although Madhubala, popularly known as Madhu, was finally cast in Mani Ratnam's 'Roja', it was Aishwarya who was first offered the role. She declined the offer citing date issues.

After watching the film in the theatre, she apparently slapped herself with a sandal and regretted not doing the movie.
