Difference Between SD Channel and Upscaled HD Channel

Hi guys

I wanted to know what is the difference between an upscaled HD channel and normal SD channel? Is there any quality difference?

DishTV is showing many SD channels as upscaled HD channel but I didnt notice any difference in quality of SD channel and its upscaled version.

Is there any technical difference?

well the PQ should be always better on up scaled HD as they are beamed with high bit rates

dish TV ,up scaling SD channels to HD channels that meaning they are up scaling SD channels to 1080i. technically this is happening.
