MUMBAI: US multimedia entertainment studio Electus, an operating business of IAC, has announced that its global distribution arm, Electus International, has signed multiple finished tape deals for ITV’s ‘Bear Grylls: Mission Survive’ in India (Discovery Channel), China (Discovery Channel), Latin America (Discovery), Central and Eastern Europe (Discovery), Canada (Blue Ant Media), Australia (SBS One), New Zealand (TVNZ), South East Asia (RTL CBS Asia Entertainment HD), Ireland (TV3) and Hong Kong (TVB Pearl), totaling over 150 countries.

The six episode series, which premiered in the UK in February 2015, is produced by Bear Grylls Ventures, Electus, and Betty.
‘Bear Grylls: Mission Survive’ is set in the rainforest of Costa Rica, and follows eight celebrities as they compete in a tough 12-day expedition where they are tested at every turn on the fundamental principles of survival: shelter, water, fire and food.

The celebrity expedition team are actors and cousins, Emilia Fox and Laurence Fox, singer and actor, Max George, Olympic champion Dame Kelly Holmes, TV presenter and singer Jamelia, comedian and actor, Tom Rosenthal, DJ, model and presenter Vogue Williams, and former England International rugby star, Mike Tindall.

Bear is assisted on the ground by his much trusted expedition leaders, mountain guide Meg Hine and former commando Scott Heffield. Bear eliminates one celebrity in every episode, leaving three finalists to battle it out in the final to be named his Mission Survivor.

Electus International president John Pollak said, “Throughout the years, Bear Grylls’ unique ability to both entertain and educate has been the driving force behind outdoor adventure becoming primetime network series. The success of Bear Grylls: Mission Survive on ITV is a testament to Bear’s ability to captivate audiences, and our partners at BGV and betty are thrilled that a series as entertaining as this will be shared with audiences around the world.”
