Direct-to-home (DTH) operator Dish TV has launched value-added services (VAS) for kids under the initiative ‘Summer ticket – Apna fun adda’.

As part of the initiative, the DTH operator will offer special tickets to its active subscribers for a period of 60 days at a price of Rs 9 per month.

‘Summer ticket – Apna fun adda’ will give kids access to Playin TV at channel no 521 offering 20 international games.

The Games Active service, which is available on channel no 520, is offering six exciting games.

The Kids Box office on channel no 248 will offer kids movies, stories and rhymes.

Dish TV is showcasing kids stories such as ‘Tina & the Magical Alphabets’, ‘Jungle Tales’ and programmes such as ‘Rhyme Time’, ‘Fruit Salad’, ‘Rhymes and a Movie’ (which will be showcased twice a day) on Kids Box Office this week and the next two months.

According to the DTH operator, the idea emerges from the consumer insight that children love to watch their favourite movies and shows and recite rhymes once they like it.

Consequently, kids will now have the indulgence of enjoying unlimited and non-stop viewing of their favourite movies on Dish TV.

Dish TV’s gaming portal Playin TV is offering 20 international games, with two new games being added every month, coupled with a consumer-friendly navigation and game selection menu.
