Staff writer

Akira Toriyama/ Dragon Ball Super
"Dragon Ball Super" has been announced to head its way to Asia and Southeast Asia as announced by Toonami Asia, but FUNimation says they're not involved with Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific, Inc. On a different light, DBS episode 20 has released its preview trailer and has given fans an inkling of what's about to come in the series.

Toonami Asia is a TV channel owned by Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific, Inc., which is also a Time Warner Company. As reported by Crunchyroll, FUNimation has confirmed via company's representative that the company has "no connection with the Toonami Asia Announcement or the premiere of its English language version of Dragon Ball Super."
It has been noted that FUNimation has been producing "Dragon Ball" franchise on Television for almost 20 years already, and this is the first time that the American entertainment anime licensing company will not produce a "Dragon Ball" series.

The announcement of Toonami Asia about acquiring the license of "Dragon Ball Super" from Toei Animation has also been reported by Ecumenical News. Its announcement mentions that the Toonami Asia "are now bringing the English dubbed version of the hit anime" to Asia and Southeast Asia. But it has not been announced when the avid followers of DBS in these regions could expect the English dubbed version of DBS anime.
On a different note, the episode 20 preview trailer of "Dragon Ball Super" reveals that Jaco will make an appearance in the upcoming episode. Yibada states that episode is already entitled "Warning from Jaco! Freeza and 1,000 Soldiers are Fast Approaching!"
As seen in the episode 20 preview trailer of "Dragon Ball Super," it began with Jaco and his companions, Gotenks and Trunks. Then, the camera pans to "Freeza along with Sorbet and others in a spaceship. The next shot shows Trunks and Gotenks playing with Jaco and it looks like they make him angry."
In the preview trailer of "Dragon Ball Super" episode 20, it is also shown that Goku and Vegeta have continued training, and the two of them are sparring. Fans could expect that "the great villain Freeza and 1000 soldiers are coming."
"Dragon Ball Super" episode 20 is slated for release on Nov. 22, 2015.

If Toonami have invested high for Dragon Ball Super then addition of Toonami on Dish TV & Videocon D2h is difficult due to carriage fees issues :lol

Dragon Ball Super is officially making its way outside of Japan to Toonami Asia! According to the press release below, the show will make its English debut mid-2016 in South East Asia (which we found includes countries like Singapore, Philippines, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Maldives, Pakistan, and India).

Toonami Asia is a television channel in Asia and differs from the Toonami in America, which is just a programming block on the channel Cartoon Network. Toonami Asia’s name and concept are inspired by the American Toonami and both are owned by media company Time Warner. No word on when North America will receive the show, but if we had to guess, it would be around the same time. From Saiyan Island’s understanding, Toonami Asia uses American English dubs of the shows they air. That would mean FUNimation and Okratron 5000, the two American companies behind the English dub of Dragon Ball, will probably be working on it soon, if they haven’t already. Of course, we hope to let you know when Dragon Ball Super will hit American airwaves and any additional details regarding the Asian release as they are announced!

Toonami, Turner’s kids brand dedicated to delivering the best superhero and action-adventure animation in South and Southeast Asia, has snapped up the latest instalment of the Dragon Ball franchise from Toei Animation.
Dragon Ball Super is the first all-new Dragon Ball television series to be produced in nearly 20 years, and will make its pan-regional launch on Toonami in mid-2016. It will be an exclusive first-run premiere on Toonami in Southeast Asia and India, which will also be its English-language world premiere.
“This announcement is huge for fanboys and girls in Asia. Dragon Ball is undoubtedly the original and world’s biggest anime export, and is a cornerstone of our programming on Toonami,” said Mark Eyers, Chief Content Officer for Turner’s Kids Networks in Asia Pacific. “Since the channel launched in 2012, Toonami has been airing episodes of Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Z Kai, and to premiere Dragon Ball Super demonstrates the channel’s continued commitment to securing must-have and must-see content, first on Toonami.”
Reuniting the franchise’s iconic characters, Dragon Ball Super follows the aftermath of Goku’s fierce battle with Majin Buu, as he attempts to maintain earth’s fragile peace. Overseen by Dragon Ball’s original creator, Akira Toriyama and produced with Fuji Television, Dragon Ball Super will draw on its historic past to create a bold, new universe welcoming to fans and endearing to new viewers.
Introduced as a manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1984, Dragon Ball has evolved into a globally beloved brand. Seen around the world, with over 230 million copies of its comic books sold, Dragon Ball is one of the most popular anime franchises of all time.
Series Synopsis: The threat of Majin Buu has passed, and Goku and friends are finally living in peace. The day of Bulma’s birthday party arrives, and everyone gets together again for the first time in ages. Then Beerus, the God of Destruction, appears. Goku gets his friends’ help to become the legendary Super Saiyan God, and gets into a fierce fight with Beerus, but he’s not quite as powerful as the God of Destruction. Beerus ends the fight, and informs Goku of a shocking fact. This universe where Goku and crew live is only one of 12. What’s more, each universe has its own God of Destruction, which means there might be opponents out there even stronger than Beerus! The story now moves into a new phase. Now the world of Dragon Ball reaches a new dimension that’s beyond imagination.
