Five weeks since India’s most-watched TV anchor Arnab Goswami quit Times Now, there has been no impact on the ranking of Times Network’s English news channel. Times Now continues to be the No. 1 channel in the space.
Viewership, however, has been fluctuating. Times Now’s weekly impressions in the first week of Goswami’s exit fell just 5.46% to 1.02 million. After a further dip in the next week, the channel rebounded strongly from 8,47,000 impressions in Week 48 to 1.1 million impressions in the week ended 9 December.
For the next two weeks, Times Now’s viewership has been falling. In the week ended 23 December, weekly impressions stood at 576,000 compared to 708,000 in Week 50.
Times Now, however, remains way ahead of its competitors. NDTV 24×7, its closest rival during the week, has less than half its viewership
