Fox Star Studios India will release X-Men: First Class on 10 June.
Directed by Matthew Vaughn, the film, starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Kevin Becon, Rose Byrne and January Jones amongst others, takes one back to where it all started.
The storyline of the film revolves around the friendship between Charles Xavier (Professor X) and Erik Lensherr (Magneto) before it evolved into an eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-men.
Producer Bryan Singer explains that in spite of taking the latest edition into the '60's and introducing an almost new group of mutants, the prequel will connect to both X-men series loyalists as well as other film buffs.
