Produced by Ganeshbabu on the banner of Parameswara Arts and directed by Harish Shankar of 'Mirapakay'-fame, the shooting of 'Gabbar Singh' with Pawan Kalyan as hero was formally launched at Hyderabad recently with puja activities.
Sruthi Hassan was selected as heroine for the movie and Abhimanyu Singh of 'Rakta Charitra' fame is playing a negative role in the movie. It may be mentioned here that the film would be the remake of Bollywood hit film 'Dabangg'.
However, the director completely changed the script to suit the nativity. Nagineedu of 'Maryada Ramanna'- fame would play the father of Pawan Kalyan, while Suhasini is gossiped to play the mother of the hero.
Devisri Prasad was chosen to score music for the movie and the regular shooting of the film will begin in September.
