GEC Watch: Sony retains No.4 spot despite losing numbers

Star Plus, Colors and Zindagi improved their ratings as other channels lost viewership in week 35 of TAM.

Sony Entertainment Television stayed at No.4 last week - despite losing numbers - on the back of the latest edition of the Amitabh
Bachchan-hosted Kaun Banega Crorepat

According to TAM data (C&S, 4+, HSM),provided by a TAM subscriber, SET recorded 317093 GVTs compared to 366282 GVTs in
week 34. KBC, in its second week, clocked an average of 4412 TVTs.
Star Plus maintained its lead in the genre.

The channel grossed 561897 GVTs, compared to last week's 559230 GVTs. The channel pushed three of its shows to the top shows' list. Zee TV held on to the second spot with 464660 GVTs(last week 462476 GVTs). Four of its shows appeared in the top shows' chart.

At No.3, Colors added numbers to end the week with 388017 GVTs compared to 376579 GVTs in the previous week. Two of its shows
made it to the top most watched shows' chart. Sab TV and Life OK, the second rung Hindi GECs from MSM and Star India respectively
took the next two spots. While the former clocked 281456 GVTs (last week 287686 GVTs),the latter closed the week with 266952 GVTs
(last week 287861 GVTs). Sab's Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah continued to be in the
Top 10 list.
