Gsat 8 completes 1 Year on 20-05-2012

Gsat 8 will complete one year on 20-5-2012

still the satellite is not used , as it as 24 ku band transponders

as most of the dth operation are waiting to get more tp , gsat 8 is lying unused from about 1 year , if was not used then they could have brought the satellite to 93.5 so that dd direct would get more tp as gsat 8 was said to be used for dd direct plus

our government has spend lots of money to build this satellite :angry and also lots of money to launch this satellite through Ariane launch vehicle :angry and not utilized it from about one year :''(

Yes its antenna is damaged during deployment and cant use all tp. So forget about it.

gsat 8 antenna thermal distortion anomaly....
24kuband tps are waste...
