we dont celebrate New Year today. Actually we celebrate 1st day of Chaitra Month as Hindu New Year The same Day on Which Gudi Padwa is Also celebrated.

Gudi Padwa is not the new Year Celebration but Gudi Padwa is a Separate Marathi festival Celebrated on Hindu New Year. (I am explaining this becoz most of people Consider Gudi Padwa as Marathi New Year, Which is wrong)
