Has the demise of ABS1 satellite started ?

For years, this satellite ABS1 has been a boon for North India in Ku-band, showing some adult/sexy programs.
But with the launch of ABS-2 satellite towards the end of the year, slowly but surely all good channels are being taken off ABS1.

This sat. is now a clean satellite with almost nil adult content now on FTA channels. Now THT+2 channel has also gone encrypted, this was the only gud channel left showing some sexy programs, but now this sat. is heading towards its demise for Indian viewers.

The ABS2 north beam will not cover India, and the south beam will only carry useless channels.

In the past one year following channels have left ABS1:

- Peppers Tv
- DTV +0, +2
- RE Music
- MTV Russia
- THT+3, +2 encrypted

Yes I also think so sad news bro, But till we have few months to go ...I had a permanent dish for ABS1 from years but now...:huh

yes jenius ji & shawal bro, after some months this sat will only our dream after launch of abs2, yes many good channels left time to time(as given above), :-/
i think now our 80cm will be left blank after some month, which we have specially purchased for abs.. :'(

now whats next???? :-/ :shy :huh

Yes, it will happen as it was predicted, and one more thing that after reaching of Abs 2 at 75 degree, Abs 1 will be placed to another oribital slot.

So, now only hope for foreign channels is Amos 4. :sp

Now our only hope lies to get some gud European channels on Eutelsat 70B @70e, but unfortunately this sat. is almost blank, since 1 yr has passed almost from its launch.

Amos 4 Russian beam is not covering India.

Its India beam wont carry gud foreign channels. :s

Shawl bro there are many satellites having MENA beam with GUD signal in North can be catch on 70CM dish ,But mostly are vacant and no channels on them which is very surprising ,Why Good fta channels are not using them which is big question itself ??

Ya.. right jatt bro.
But, these channels on MENA are very boring for me, they are generally arabic/urdu based channels.... with big arabian words written on screen or on channel logos, which is very irritating.

Moreover, Middle -East is a conservative lot of society.
Unlike the Europeans or Russians, MENA beam channels dont carry any "nice" programs. :lol
ABS1 channels hold their special place, and will be missed a lot in future
