Hathway Bengaluru ( Karnataka) is informing Consumers about New TRAI Tariff Order through EPG Ad which will come into affect from Dec 29 2018 , All pay channels on fixed MRP Basis+ Taxes extra (written in small words) ,hav to pay Additional Rs 20/- + taxes extra ,for next 25 channels and so on ... pay channel MRP Extra .. just pay Rs 130 and get 100 FTA Channels .

Even Hathway Hyderabad also running same ads from past few days.
 
All dth and cable operators r currently having lot more than 100 FTA channels on their platform, so will we be able to get all these at just Rs. 150 or remaining FTA channels will be dropped? Many FTA channels from big broadcasters were recently converted to pay post implementation of TRAI Order and the reason broadcasters gave was that due to availablity of just 100 FTA slots there will be intense competition which will lead to unreasonable increase in carriage hence it was better to exit that category.
 
@dino29 According to TRAI, DPO should offer minimum of 100FTA Channels at Rs.130pm. Its not a limit.

See, Airtel and DishTV introduced new FTA bouquets with over 200+ FTA channels priced at Rs.153pm only.
 
i preffered old one.. now we will have to choose which channel, it will be confusing . because we will have to lose few channels to manage at old cost..

Hmm, Big Broadcasters converted their FTA channels to Pay mode just so that they can easily bundle these together in bouquet and are in compliance with new regulations. They have purposely kept its price at only Re. 1 so that max people take it thru a-la-carte route too.

By the way i am pretty sure Tata Sky will provide least FTA channels in basic tier pack and force us to pay more NFC to access rest of them
