Hathway Digital Cable software updated, new transponders added, channel capacity up

Hathway Digital Cable set-top box software in Mumbai was updated OTC (Over the Cable) today morning, new transponders have been added thereby increasing channel capacity. 10 analog channels in VHF (Hyper-band) will be removed till June 2012 for adding more digital channels.

The new software has made the Power On booting of the set-top box quicker by some seconds. Also channel changing time is reduced.

There is similar frequency, symbol rate, QAM modulation for Cable STB like Satellite receiver parameters.
