MUMBAI: Infotainment broadcaster History TV18 is all set to reveal the ‘Vital Stats of India’ through its latest local production, which breaks down the numbers behind our country.
The show is set to premiere on 21 November, airing every Friday at 9 pm.
‘Vital Stats of India’ delves into interesting statistics about India. This six-part series highlights the enormity and diversity of this great country, showcasing a treasure trove of enthralling figures across its length and breadth. The show sees the duo Rocky and Mayur embark on an unusual journey, bringing out astounding realities and aspects that make us uniquely Indian: cricket, Bollywood, food, politics, money and pure demographics.
The treatment too is entertaining as it is refreshing. From visiting a condom factory in Aurangabad to gain insight into a different set of ‘facts and figures’ and gambling at a casino in Goa in an attempt to understand how money works, to shaking a leg with Shiamak Davar’s troupe for insights into the glitz and glam of Bollywood, Rocky and Mayur set out on an unforgettable journey to understand the numbers that make India tick.
The broadcaster added that the show is in line with its promise of creating clutter-breaking content and pushing the envelope on programming. In an effort to reach out to its audience online, the channel is launching a slew of initiatives linked to the show to drive buzz and engagement.
Exclusive content for the app
The channel is creating exclusive content related to the show for the History TV18 app. It will offer two- to three-minute videos created exclusively for its committed viewers.
The 10 odd clips will include some of the best parts of the show. These clips will go beyond the behind-the-scene clips that other channels generally offer online.
Second screen
History TV18 fans can also win branded memorabilia by engaging with the channel during the show in a fun second-screen quiz. The questions will be asked in real time during the episode telecast and fans can answer these on the app.
