how to connect adtv sd stb/hd dvr stb to moniter as a tv?

i recently bought dell s2240l moniter.
i want to use this moniter as a pc and tv/hdtv.
this moniter has hdmi hdcp compliant
other port vga which is i want to connect pc cpu.
now im currently using airtel sd tv set top box
i want to upgrade this with hd dvr stb worth rs 5000/-
is it possible to connect adtv hd dvr stb hdmi o/p to moniter hdmi i/p directly ?
any other recommendations for adtv sd stb to moniter?

plz help me any other ways/assumptions/best to connect adtv stb o/p to ditectlu to dells2240l hdmi i/p port to get upto fhd resolution!
is tv tuner card required?

As your MONITOR
Has HDMI PORT & 1080p

You can connect ADTV HD STB Directly to HDMI Port
which gives both audio&video

(tv tuner not required)

I am using same dell s2240l moniter (21.5") with my ADTV HD+ STB (HDMI port) and Desktop (VGA port). Its working fine for me from last 6 months. So you can go for it without any hesitation

bro,if u regularly recoding means dvr
 
I suggest u not to upgrade..just buy newone...also hd+ is not a bad option ...with dvr u can record two channels...thats positive

condit bro all hd usb model stb means record & watch same tv only & dvr means inbulit harddisk record two & watch another facility available on hd dvr stb:tup

and working fine (via hdmi port)

but my doubt is...
is adtv hd dvr stb compatible with dell s2240l moniter?
