The board of News Broadcasters Association (NBA) has elected India Today Group CEO Ashish Bagga as the president of the apex body of TV news broadcasters for the remaining period of 2016–17.
Bagga will replace former ABP News Network CEO Ashok Venkatramani, who had recently left the organisation. The NBA board meeting was held on 22 November.
Times Network MD and CEO MK Anand will replace Bagga as the vice president while NDTV Group CEO and executive vice-chairperson KVL Narayan Rao will serve as treasurer in Anand’s place.
The other members on the NBA board are: India TV chairman and editor-in-chief Rajat Sharma; TV18 Broadcast CEO news and group editor-in-charge Rahul Joshi; Zee Media Corporation executive director and COO Rajiv Singh; News24 CMD Anurradha Prasad; Mathrubhumi Printing & Publishing whole-time director MV Shreyams Kumar; and ABP News Network COO and chief revenue officer Avinash Pandey.
