The scientific payload of AstroSat has a mass of 1513 kg and contains six instruments.

1. Charged Particle Monitor (CPM) is switched ON and the performance is normal. It is operational

2. Soft X-ray Telescope (SXT) Venting operations were carried out

3. Scanning Sky Monitor (SSM) electronics was switched ON & Further modes testing of SSM platform were carried out.

4. Large Area X-ray Proportional Counter – Processing Electronics (LAXPC-PE) was switched ON

5. Cadmium Zinc Telluride Imager (CZTI) : No update till now

6. The UltraViolet Imaging Telescope (UVIT) : No update till now

Figure: Image of Crab Nebula in hard X-rays above 25 keV. The bright spot near the centre indicates Crab. The effective imaging resolution here is about 10 arcmin. The faint patches outside are `side-lobes’ of the imaging process and they will be suppressed significantly when data from all quadrants are analysed simultaneously, which will also improve the image resolution to better than 8 arcmin.
