It is obvious that beauty attracts attention. But did you know that beauty also attracts the eye of the malicious, who are so potent that their mere glance in your direction could make you fall sick and make you vulnerable to major harm? Did you also know that all of this could be avoided by nothing but a sheer black dot on your face? The idea behind the ‘teeka’ is to make yourself imperfect or less beautiful so that you do not fall victim to anyone’s ‘buri nazar’ or cursed glance.
Daljeet Kaur says, “My character Manjiri is that of a strong girl, who is the only ray of hope in the family. The show carries a strong social message.”
