It is not just channel migration they have to replace old STB at the same time as well. They can easily migrate all channels to mpeg 4 in 24 hrs but replacing of STB will take some time as man power is limited.

Yes, the volumes have forced them to bring in emergency teams to make sure they install 500,000 stbs a month. this is apart from the regular service teams, which handle regular installation and problems. "For us even at tata sky it is a massive exercise and we have been working on it for the past three months and have started the roll out." Nagpal revealed.
