Kalakka Povathu Yaaru was a unique attempt by Vijay TV as it showcased innumerable talents in the field of comedy and humor. The show had been a springboard for many aspiring youngsters who have never faced an audience. Even actor Sivakarthikeyan shot to fame with the show.
Now, the show is all set be launched after a couple of years on July 19, 2015 which shall not only recognize true talents, but also reward the ultimate king of comedy. After auditioning in 6 cities across Tamil Nadu (Madurai, Trichy, Nellai, Coimbatore, Salem and Chennai), 50 best comedians are shortlisted to enter the mega channel audition. 4 mentors will witness their performances and they will select 6 contestants in each of their team. In each episode the contestants will fight each other within the team and other teams. After eliminating through various rounds each mentor will bring one best contestant to fight among each other at the grand finale. The show will be showcased at 2 pm on Vijay TV every Sunday.
