Just a few days after it was announced that Kapil Sharma would produce a Punjabi film, it has been revealed that the comedian will also lend his voice to a few songs in the yet-to-be titled movie.
Kapil Sharma is by far one of the most best comedians that India has as of now. His show 'The Kapil Sharma Show' is running successfully on TV since years. However, not many people know that the ace comedian actually came to Mumbai to become a singer.
He even participated in a singing reality show, but apparently the opportunity didn’t give him the chance to playback in films. But now it seems that his dream is finally coming true.
Apart from bankrolling Hindi film Firangi, Kapil Sharma has also donned the producer’s hat for another Punjabi movie, whose title has not been decided as of yet. Although, Kapil is not acting in the film, he will sing a few songs in it.
Actor Damanpreet Singh who has acted in several other Punjabi films before is playing the lead role in the movie. Revealing the news, he said, “Besides producing, Kapil has also sung two to three songs in the film. The name of the film is still not decided. Apart from me, the film also features Gurpreet Guggi.”
Furthermore, the actor has revealed that the movie is based on the lines of Aamir Khan-starrer Taare Zameen Par.
