Nikhil and Swati, who were last seen together in 2013's surprise hit Swamy Ra Ra, have teamed up for another film, Karthikeya. The film is slated for release in Telugu, Tamil and it'll mark Nikhil's foray in Tamil. Chandoo Mondeti has directed the film and Nikhil is playing the role of a medico. The film's trailer made a big splash on the social media and the storyline has garnered a lot of interest. The film is a suspense drama, which is set in a small village on the Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Naidu, and it narrates the story of a medico who tries to unravel the mystery behind a series of suspicious deaths in the village. The film's satellite rights have been reportedly bought by Gemini TV for a price of nearly Rs 1.5 crores. The film is slated for release in theatres on August 1.
