“Ningalkkum Akam Kodeeswaran” Television Show has started airing on Asianet Prime Channel/Middle East Channel starting April 9th 2012. The quiz show is anchored by popular Malayalam action hero Suresh Gopi. This show will give any talented person an opportunity to win up to Rs.1 Crore.


Lifelines Explained
The lifelines of Kodeeshwaran show:

The actual show will have the following lifelines.

Lifeline 1 : Fifty-Fifty

If the player chooses 50-50 lifeline, the host will tell the computer to randomly eliminate two of the wrong answers. This will leave one right answer and one randomly selected wrong answer. The contestant has to choose from 1 of 2 instead of 1 of 4.

Lifeline 2 : Audience Poll

If the player chooses Audience Poll, the host repeats the question to the studio audience. The audience can press a button in a hand held electronic device they are holding within ten seconds to select the answer that they think is correct. The computer then displays the results as a percentage to the player. The player an decide his asnwer based on the audience choices. It is not required that the player has to select the top answer by the audience. He/she can use it a s reference. Please note that even audience can be wrong.

Lifeline 3 : Phone A Friend

Phone A Friend lifeline allows the player to call one of up to three pre-selected friends and ask explain the question to them and ask if they know the answer. The host calls the player’s friend and introduces him/her to the viewers. The question has to be read out by the contestant to the phone friend once the host allows him or her to do so. The phone friend has thirty seconds to answer.

General Instructions

Players must choose answers wisely or else they risk losing the opportunity to win Rs. 1 crore. In a typical episode, only two or three contestants reach the Hot Seat and play the Rs. 1 crore question.

When a player gets eliminated, another contestant comes in who goes through the same process of reaching the hot seat. If the running time of the programme expires while a contestant is still playing they are invited to return on the next programme to continue.

Once a player has been in the hot seat, he or she can never return to it in the “normal” show program.
