Ae Dil Hai Mushkil director Karan Johar will be back with the fifth edition of his popular chat show “ Koffee With Karan ” on November 6. Yes, it’s confirmed now! It will be launched on Star World and Star World HD. There were a lot of rumours doing the rounds about the launch date of the show but now the date has finally been announced by the channel. Earlier, speculations were rife that Pakistani actor Fawad Khan would be the first guest on the chat show. Bollywoodlife was the first one to dismiss the rumour and tell you that not Fawad but some other Khan will be Karan Johar’s first guest. Karan too had denied the reports of confirming Fawad in an earlier statement. He said: “No. I haven’t yet reached the combination. There has been a lot of conjecture about that. We are zeroing on episode one and will answer soon.
While Karan had previously announced on social media that he will be back on the small screen as the host of a new season of Koffee With Karan, he had also asked his fans to have some patience before playing the guessing game on who will be the first guest and what’s the line up of the show. “We are working hard to ensure that we live up to the hype and are confident that with the guest-list and all the new surprises planned, it’s going to be yet another cracker of a season,” a Star India spokesperson said in an earlier statement.
Fawad Khan was believed to be almost finalized to be the first guest on the talk show, where he was said to be paired with either Alia Bhatt or Deepika Padukone. But Star World soon sent out a tweet saying ‘Don’t believe the rumour mills yet! We’ve got the perfect celebrity line-up for Ep1 of Koffee with Karan S5! What say @KaranJohar? #KWKonSW’. To which Karan Johar replied, ‘Watch out for our formal announcements on the opening episode and our line up…
Later BollywoodLife confirmed that it’s not Fawad Khan but Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt who will be Karan’s guests on the first episode of the fifth season. We are sure the trio has a lot in store for us.
