MUMBAI: Star Plus was the biggest loser in terms of eyeballs in the week ended 18 April, followed by SAB, as per TAM data for the Hindi-speaking markets (cable and satellite homes, 4+ years TG). In week 16 of 2015, Life OK overtakes SAB.
The top pecking order of the Hindi general entertainment channel genre did not see any change during the week. Star Plus lost 56.5 GVM (gross television viewership in millions) in the week, or 26 GRPs, to end the week with 545 GVM or 254 GRPs. Colors continued to be at the second place with a loss of 5 GVM or 2 GRP. The Viacom18 channel ended the week with 404 GVM (189 GRPs). Zee TV also saw a drop of 11 GVM, or 5 GRPs, and closed the week with 378 GVM (176 GRPs).
Star India’s second GEC Life OK remained at 288 GVM, or 135 GRPs, same as the previous week. SAB, however, saw a dip of 24 GVM (11 GRPs) and ended the week with 272 GVM (127 GRPs). SET and &TV added around 10 GVM (5 GRPs) each to end the week with 232 and 99 GVM respectively. In GRP terms, SET clocked 108, while &TV fetched 46 GRPs
