Breaking Life OK to be relaunched as Star Bharat

BizAsiaLive.com has learnt that Star TV is set to rebrand its second entertainment channel, Life OK to Star Bharat.

Life OK, which has been in revamp mode for several months with a number of new shows, will undergo an identity change in August. It was rumoured Life OK was set for an on-air makeover a few months ago. However, it has now come to know that the entire channel name and branding will be changed.

Star Bharat is set to unleash a number of new shows after the axing of shows like ‘Har Mard Ka Dard’, ‘Maharaja Ranjit Singh’, ‘Chandrakanta’ and ‘May I Come In Madam?’. Star Bharat is set to launch sometime in August – to coincide with India’s 70th Independence Day.

Not OK. :skd :skd Star Bharat sounds like an FTA channel - rather an FTA news channel like JK News 24x7 and Hindi Khabar. Life OK on the other hand sounds sophisticated and urban.
