Broadcasters Audience Research Council released the much awaited television ratings for the week 16 from April 18th to 24th.

The data released in the first phase of BARC is for : 1L+ C&S HHs – Empanelled – 12,000, Reporting - 10,760 households (1L+ C&S).

According to data sourced from BARC subscribers, for week 16, Adhikari’s Brothers Mastiii led the pack of music channels with 14428 ratings (Gross TVTs 000s) in the HSM market , for the TG:All NCCS 4+. Mastiii was followed by Bindass Play with 14, 000 ratings, 9XM with 12959, 9X Jalwa with 12938 , Bindass with 10956, MTV with 10951 and Sony MIX with 10245 ratings .

Mastiii emerged as a clear leader with 42.1% market share, with Bindass at 40.85% .

Mastiii had remained the No. 1 music channel prior to BARC ratings as well. According to data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 13, TAM ratings showed that for the HSM market, TG: All CS 4+, Mastiii was leading with 35942 ratings, (Avg GVTS 000) followed by MTV with 35172 ratings .

Mastiii led the pack with 41 gross rating points (GRPs) or 14.5 gross television viewership in millions (GVMs), followed by Bindass Play which scored 40 GRPs or 14 GVMs.

The next two positions on the chart were occupied by 9X Media, with its Bollywood music channel 9XM at the third spot with 37 GRPs or 13.1 GVMs, followed by its evergreen music playing channel 9X Jalwa at the fourth spot with 37 GRPs or 13 GVMs.

Youth entertainment channel MTV and music channel Bindass made their entry at the fifth and sixth spots respectively.
MTV garnered 33 GRPs or 11.5 GVMs, while Bindass garnered 31 GRPs or 11 GVMs.
Multi Screen Media’s (MSM) pure-play music channel Sony Mix came in next with 30 GRPs or 10.5 GVMs.

Times Network’s Bollywood music and entertainment channel Zoom, which is gearing up for a revamp, garnered 22 GRPs or 7.7 GVMs.

At the ninth spot was B4U Music with 20 GRPs or 6.9 GVMs, followed by another youth entertainment and music channel Zing at the tenth spot with 16 GRPs or 5.6 GVMs.

Channel V, Star India’s youth entertainment channel, was at the bottom of the hierarchy with 13 GRPs (4.7 GVMs).
