Media Broadcast has renewed it contract with Luxembourg-based satellite operator SES, the German technical service provider announced in Bonn.
This means Media Broadcast can continue to offer its customers capacity on Astra (19.2° East) to distribute their TV and radio channels throughout Europe. The agreement covers transponder 113 (12.633GHz H, SR 22,000, FEC 5/6).
The first customers to have renewed their carriage contracts with Media Broadcast forcapacity on this slot are German home-shopping broadcaster Juwelo TV and Austrian Catholic TV channel K-TV.
In addition to Astra (19.2° East), Media Broadcast also operates DVB-S platforms onHot Bird (13° East), Astra (23.5° East) and Eutelsat (9° East). Besides the uplink through its own teleport in Usingen near Frankfurt, the subsidiary of French TDF Group offers complementary services such as encryption, EPG, play-out and signal contribution.
