The Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MIB) has revised the permitted areas of operation of four multi-system operators (MSOs) by upgrading their licences to operate across India.
These MSOs were earlier granted registration to operate within a limited area. The four MSOs are Agra-based listed company Sea TV Network, Delhi-based Novabase Digital Entertainment, Delhi Distribution Company, and Mumbai-based JPR Channel.
Novabase was earlier granted permanent registration only for Delhi and NCR. Similarly, Delhi Distribution Company’s registration was limited to National Capital Territory of Delhi.
Sea TV’s registration was for Allahabad, Ghaziabad, Kanpur, Lucknow, Meerut and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.
