MUMBAI: English movie channel Movies Now will showcase a medical show, ‘Rush’, from next month. The show, which premieres in the US next month, will air in India close to that telecast date.
The series is about a hard-partying Los Angeles doctor serving a very specific clientele, those who have a lot of cash and a lot of secrets. Tom Ellis plays the title character Dr. William Rush who goes the extra mile for his clients.
On the movie front, the channel will start a ‘Super Spies’ slot on 18 July. This will air every Friday at 7 pm and 9 pm. Films like ‘Salt’ and ‘Knight and Day’ will be shown.
There is also an initiative around the ‘X-Men’ franchise called ‘X-Fest’. This is a collection of all the ‘X-Men’ films and starts on 20 July. An X-Men film will air every Sunday at 9 pm.
Movies Now will also present the Super Movie of the Month ‘Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance’ on 26 July, at 9 pm.
