MTS India, country’s leading CDMA voice and data service provider, cuts the EVDO dongle (Data Card) prices further.
MTS has now priced the MTS MBlaze EVDO Premium- Rs. 1049 (earlier Rs. 1599). The MTS MBlaze EVDO standard will cost Rs. 999 (earlier Rs. 1549) and MTS CDMA 1X Data Card now cost just Rs. 699 (earlier Rs. 1450).
In a highly competitive market EVDO dongles was priced at Rs. 3500 at initial phase and now MTS cuts down the price at just Rs. 999. Currently Reliance CDMA, Tata Docomo Photon (CDMA) and BSNL sell their EVDO modems at Rs. 1299, Rs. 1499 and Rs. 1499 respectively.
Currently wireless broadband market is highly dominated by EVDO players like Tata Teleservices and Sistema Shyam Teleservices (MTS India). They both rolled out DO-Rev B in selected cities to offer more speed and more capacity to its network.
In selected circles MTS adds 5GB data for the first month with MBlaze device worth Rs. 999.
In some telecom circles MTS also introduced speed based plans, dubbed as MBlaze Lite. MBlaze Lite is available for postpaid users only.
