- Tata Sky adding new software upgrade to Kaon HD Basic STBs (serial no. 65xx) s starting tonight
- S/W version : 1.1.A.001 Jul 20 2017.
- MHSI implementation, which in turn, will reduce effective BW & also improve EPG loading time in STBs to a great extent.
- Subscriber ID and Card ID display on signal lock/test screen.
- CNR based diagnostics on signal test screen.
- Audio OSD for ‘No Signal' in English & Hindi -? due to certain technical limitation, as on date, STB will need Master Reset once & and a subsequent reboot to start playing.
- Change in default posters.
- Rename ACTVE to Tata Sky Services.
- In cases of Specific Complaints or for new/swap installs, if any, for these STB models, tomorrow onwards FS team can also do a force download at customer premises to have the sw upgraded & ensure new sw version in box before checking services (until auto download gets completed in approx 7-10 days for all subscriber base).
- If in "ON" mode, will automatically download the new software and reboot (implies an brief interruption in viewing for the subscriber) .
- If in "STANDBY" mode, will automatically download the new software and return to "STANDBY" mode .
- If in "OFF" mode, would take the download whenever they are powered up next .
- In case any existing subscribers report problems in receiving the S/W version : 1.1.A.001 Jul 20 2017 download, inform your Tata Sky SPOC.
