They have still not added it in Punjabi Regional Pack. Tata Sky is too slow to update channels in correct packs when there is some rebranding or channel repositions itself. Also they have randomly placed regional statewise hindi channels or Haryana/Punjabi Channels in Hindi News Genre slots and State Specific Slots. Not only this but some of these state channels present on main hindi news genre slots are available in base packs while rest r part of regional packs. There is total confusion with no standard policy in place.
Most irritating thing is that Sony Pal which started as a Pay Channel but later turned repeats FTA channel though was shifted accordingly on LCN but till now its a-la-carte price remains Rs. 26 (launch pay channel price) and neither they have added it in My89 base pack. Also same issue with Big Magic.
Coming to these recent shifting of Network18 channels, well this could be to get max discount/incentive from broadcaster under new regime. Placement on EPG, Reach, Package insertion decide how much discount operator gets on bouquet price. This is the only thing Tata Sky can bank upon now to earn extra revenue as else diffrential pricing doors r now shut thanks to TRAI. Ur neighbour Sharma Cable will also get channels at same price from broadcaster as will biggie like Tata Sky. Also cable operators can't earn profit by not declaring actual subscriber base while Tata Sky can't earn massive profit by overcharging.
@anishpai bro this is best decision by BJP government though knowing fully well that many leaders who own cable tv business will also be impacted. I have few issues with certain policues of current government but no one can deny that atleast they r making effort in right direction on multiple fronts. Honestly at present BJP is the best party to govern our country.
