Thiruvananthapuram: Malayalam filmmakers and producers have jointly decided to release new movies through online medium Channel 7music.com, which will be launched on April 14, Vishu Day. Kerala Film Producers Association general secretary Sasi Ayyanchira said the concept had been planned since the past few months. It will give an opportunity to producers, who are struggling to survive in the film world, but it is likely to affect the satellite rights' rates drastically, said a statement. The audience will have to pay a definite amount for watching the Malayalam movies online. The move is to combat piracy, and there will be fixed timings with four shows per day - just as in cinemas.
