Popular TV Relaunching as GEC in Kannada Language

To address the dearth of Kannada GEC channels in Kannada language on free platforms, Khusboo Multimedia Pvt. Ltd. , a broadcasting company for many Satellite TV channels is foraying into the regional language in Kannada entertainment genre TV Channel with POPULAR TV. The programs will be specially designed for the Kannada regional language to relaunch on the DD free Dish platform alongside other platforms. The launch is scheduled for April 1st, 2024.

2020 - Launched as a Assamese movie channel in 2020.
2022 - planned to launch as a kids channel, which not happened later.

Yes bro. Currently the channel is telecasting some teleshopping ads. For few weeks or months it will be launched as a Kannada GEC and again will telecast ads or teleshopping. Even in 2023 the channel was re-launched as an Assamese movie channel and later it become a teleshopping channel.

Breaking - Popular TV will be removed from Airtel digital TV

Popular TV will be removed on 2nd December 2023 from Airtel Digital TV. The channel was testing on ADTV TP 12281H4490. But was not available on any LCN.
