Recently Mahendran of Sowmitha Arts has filed a case in Chennai city civil court to ban Vijay's Jilla. Mahendran said he has registered the title 'Jilla' for the Telugu dubbed film starring Ravi Teja, Shreya and Prakash Raj in 2008, when he was waiting for the right time to release the film he came to know that Vijay's new film has also been titled as Jilla and hence he requested the court to ban Jilla.
