India’s Radio Mirchi 98.3FM recently got
popular Tamil film actor, TV anchor,
stand-up comedian and singer
Sivakarthikeyan to launch its new
breakfast show ‘Marina Melodies’ in
Chennai.
The show, named after a popular Tamil
movie, airs weekdays 7 am to 11 am.
It will be hosted by popular RJ Ajai, who
has been with the station for more than
a decade.
RJ Ajai describes himself as ‘just a radio
jockey and nothing else’ and is a big fan
of the Academy Award winning Indian
musician A.R. Rahman, who also hails
from Chennai.
In a departure from the channel’s usual
upbeat music, ‘Marina Melodies’ will
feature melodious contemporary Tamil
film music, a genre for which the
listeners have shown a preference.
Station Director Manoj Mathan
