Chennai : Raj TV is launching a new daily soap titled "Alaipayuthey" from 15th September onwards at 8:30 PM time slot during the weekdays (Monday to Saturday) in place of Uravugal Sangamam.
“Alaipayuthey” is a Social encompassing a passionate love story of Zain and Aliya. while Zain is a rich kid drenched in luxury, on the other hand Aliya is from a lower middle class background. Zain hates the concept of love and has always freaks around all his life. whereas, Aliya totally believes in love and that love happens only once and love needs to be nurtured, and cherished for a lifetime.
Zain's parents, the Abdullah family is a rich high flying Muslim family living in Mumbai… headed by Usman and Suraiya Abdullah, the family has a bungalow where the big joint family lives… Suraiya and Usman have two sons… Zain and Akram. Usman being aware of Zain’s wayward ways, wants him to be settled with a good girl, who can bring the real Zain out, a girl who can show him the path and make him the man that he is capable of becoming.
Usman has good relationship with Aliya's family and a situation arises where Usman feels that Aliya is the best for Zain and thus begins an unlikely but passionate coupling of two equally headstrong protagonists who don’t see eye to eye on anything let alone Love.
The story follows their journey from hate to discovering love. Set against a landscape of earthy Bhopal and buzz of Mumbai, ‘Alaipayuthey’ is a saga of finding your soul mate in the unlikeliest of places and learning to cherish the elusive emotion of love.
The channel seems to be strategically positioning "Alaipayuthey" at 8:30 PM slot to strengthen its prime time band to support Karuthamma, Man Vasanai and Sindhu Bairavi to created a strong prime time program line-up between 7PM to 9PM.
