Ranbir made his debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Saawariya' in 2007. Though the film failed at the box office, it did not stop Ranbir, who went on to give power-packed performances in 'Wake Up Sid', 'Rocket Singh', 'Rajneeti' and the recent 'Barfi'.
"Today I have completed five years in the industry. 'Saawariya' came and went in a day while 'Barfi' ran for several days. The journey has been good and wonderful," Ranbir told reporters.
"I want to do more films and more exciting characters. I am looking forward to doing good work. It feels great to be here. I feel I have got lifetime achievement award," he added.
Ranbir launched DVD of 'Barfi', directed by Anurag Basu, and starring Priyanka Chopra and Ilena D'cruz along with him. The film has been sent as India's official entry for Oscars in the best foreign language film category.
"We are happy that the film has got nominated as India's entry to the Oscars. But this is just the first step. I hope the concerned committee selects our film or else we will send dada (Anurag Basu) there," he said, jokingly.
