It’s impressive how the local Assamese broadcasters have continued to maintain these channels despite limited funding and budgets. It doesn’t look like the Zees and the Stars of Indian TV will make their way to Guwahati soon. Still, Pride East Entertainment (which operates Rang, Ramdhenu, News Live and Indradhanu) should be commended for ensuring that it has taken the leadership in the market share, much like Tarang in Odisha. Now it would be nice if they can launch an HD channel like what Tarang is planning.
