Rel Big TV, Sun Direct back in merger talks

This is generating a buzz in deal circles: An imminent merger or takeover of the Anil Ambani-promoted Reliance Big TV with or by Kalanithi Maranpromoted Sun Direct.
The transaction was nearly dropped last year due to a valuation mismatch and the legal wrangle Sun finds itself in because of the 2G scam. The two billionaire promoters have now decided that a merged company would be better than the two DTH TV service providers fighting each other, people in the know said.

If this happens all Reliance digital subscribers will merge or takeover with other dth platforms. Because Reliance subscribers are Premium subscribers not cable subscribers like Sundirect which broadcast cable like channels through Satellite. Nothing much difference between cable and Sundirect :shy:shy:shy

Can you explain what do you mean by "broadcast cable like channels through Satellite. Nothing much difference between cable and Sun Direct" , till date SUN Direct is one of the DTH provider give the channels in a better quality. Don't know how you are comparing it with Cable.
