Romedy Now launches HD feed
Times Television Network’s (TTN) channel
Romedy Now has launched a high-definition (HD) feed.
TTN senior VP and head of English entertainment cluster
Vivek Srivastava says that the channel is available on the
cable platforms as of now.
“We have launched the HD feed. We are talking to DTH
platforms. We aim to be present on majority of the
platforms in the next 10–15 days.”
The HD channel will sell less advertising time. “We will
have less than six minutes of airtime. The standard feed
has 12 minutes of airtime,” said Srivastava.
On the programming front, the aim will be to maintain the
channel’s leadership position. “Serials air from 6 to 9 pm,
movies from 9 pm to midnight. This strategy, which has
worked well for us, will continue. Our TG is 15–44 SEC A,
B and we get an even viewership mix between males and
females. It is about understanding what content works in
what slots,” averred Srivastava.
Romedy Now HD is already available on DEN Networks,
InCablenet, Asianet Satellite Communications, Siti Cable,
Scod18 and FASTWAY Transmission.
