Dear Members,

When you are sharing the content from another Website, DO NOT copy the entire article and paste on DDF. This directly violates the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) and the Websites which originally creates the content are affected because of this. They can take legal action on DDF for the same. This is applicable even if you share a link to the original article at the end of your share.

Although we discourage our members from sharing such articles, if you feel it's really VERY IMPORTANT, the right way to share is to either just take TWO PARAGRAPHS or 4 LINES (NOT MORE) and embed the original link at the end.

This is NOT something new, our rules book already has this information. However, this is no longer a request. It MUST be followed by every single member of the forum. Permament ban will be imposed if not followed, no warnings issued.

Apart from this, as you all know we also have a list of websites from which we DO NOT allow sharing at all on DDF. We are sharing that list here again for your convenience. Sharing from these websites will lead to a permanent ban, again no warnings issued.

WEBSITES FROM WHICH CONTENT SHARING IS DISALLOWED
  • Bestmediainfo
  • Telecomtalk
  • igyaan
  • Digit
  • India Forums
  • The Mobile Indian
  • Ultra News
  • CricTracker
We also don't allow news to be shared from competitor forums/websites. Some websites are blacklisted too. Rules are implemented on the forum software to automatically replace some of the names with "****" marks.

Members are required to check the thread/post content once they post it on the forum. If you see the "****" marks for any of the content you shared, delete the content on your thread/post immediately. Action will be taken otherwise.

Please read more about the DMCA at the below Wikipedia link.

Have a good time browsing DDF.
