The James Erskine-directed ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ is not a commercial film but a docudrama. Even then the film earned Rs 27.85 crore over the weekend.
‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’ had a record opening on Friday as it became the first docu-drama to earn Rs 8.40 crore.
The film has received positive response in overseas markets as well. According to trade analyst Ramesh Bala, the film has so far collected $332,000 in the US.
