Sahara Group has informed Supreme Court that its television and press operations had been shut down and it employees are deserting it, according to a media report. The report also claimed, “There was a courtroom bidding war for a property of the group in Gorakhpur in UP.”

Sahara counsel Kapil Sibal is reported to be in the process of filing a petition in the Supreme Court in order to explain the difficulties faced by the group and how it would not be able to meet the conditions set by the SC for the release of group chief Subrata Roy

The group runs Sahar Samay news, Roznama Sahara newspaper in Urdu, Rashtriya Sahara newspaper in Hindi and Sahara Infotainment their GEC offering. - See more at:

Once these two channels were really " different" channels showing excellent shows and movies. Now these days they are different only because in 24 hrs they show 15 hrs. Of teleshopping and repeat of old show on sahara one and its movie channel.

In analog time sahara one & Filmi were very famous TV channels. Now-a-days, they are in trouble almost 24/7 useless advertisement. They 1st removed the Irdeto encryption from Asiasat 7S and now they are going to close their transmissions soon
