→ MUMBAI: With the eighth season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC) approaching its grand finale in November, Sony Entertainment Television (SET) has lined up two new fiction properties ‘Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar’ and ‘Tum Aise Hi Rehna’ to replace the game show.
Slated to launch in mid-November, Balaji Telefilms’ ‘Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar’ will occupy the 8:30 pm slot from Monday to Thursday.
While Ekta Kapoor presented the love story of two middle-aged individuals and discovering love after marriage in ‘Bade Ache Lagte Hai’ on SET earlier, the TV soap queen is now taking the same concept ahead to showcase the serious topic of how a couple may cease to be husband and wife but continue to be parents to the children.
Starring Ronit Roy and Pallavi Kulkarni in the lead roles, ‘Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar’ will narrate the story of the divorced parents who come together for their daughter’s marriage. It will explore the complexities of the delicate yet strong bond between a husband and wife who are driven apart due to misunderstandings.
While Roy portrays the character of Dr Nachiket Khanna, who lives with his three kids in America, Kulkarni plays his wife Ragini Patel, who stays in India with their two other kids.
This show will be followed by another show dealing with marriages ‘Tum Aise Hi Rehna’ in the primetime slot at 9 pm.
Produced by Rashmi Sharma Telefilms, the story revolves around the change in people after every stage in a relationship. In this case, it is specifically about the change in partners following marriage. Riya Aggarwal believes that Abhimanyu Maheshwari will never change. Is she wrong or right forms the rest of the story.
It stars Kinshuk Mahajan and Shefali Sharma in the lead roles.
Working towards a programming overhaul, SET has replaced all its shows in the primetime band from Monday to Thursday. Besides ‘Maharana Pratap’ at 10 pm, the channel is now airing all new shows like ‘Itti Si Khushi’ at 8 pm, ‘KBC 8′ from 8:30 to 9:30 pm, which will soon be replaced by the two new shows, ‘Hum Hai Na’ from 9:30 to 10 pm and ‘Humsafars’ from 10:30 to 11 pm.
